A former minister of police affairs, Dr. Yakubu Ibrahim Leme is dead.
Leme, a chieftain and former 2019 gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi state died in the late hours of Saturday 25 May, 2019 at a private hospital in Abuja, a family source revealed.
Leme, 66, was appointed Minister of police affairs in 2008 in the adminstration of late Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
Prior to that he was the Senior Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obajanso on Narcotics and financial crimes in 1999, and a Senator in the third Republic.
Cause of death are still not known as at the time of fielding this report.
