Kano based veteran journalist, Umar Saidu Tudunwada, is dead following car accident at the outskirts of Kano city on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Tudunwada was the immediate past Managing Director of Kano State Radio Corporation,
The deadly crash occurred around Kura town in Kura Local Government area of Kano State, according to a report by Daily Nigerian on Sunday.
Mr Tudunwada was at one time a Principal Editor at the then CTV, formerly Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV).
He once served as Secretary Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano chapter.
He worked with different media outlets including the Voice of America (VOA), Deutsche-Welle (DW) among others..
He was twice appointed as spokesperson to former Executive Governor of Kano state, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.
