
The Federal Government of Nigeria is committed to forming strong partnerships with Tunisia in energy, technology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, education, and the creative sectors.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Bianca Ojukwu stated this at the opening of the 8th Financing Investment and Trade in Africa Conference (FITA) organized by the Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) in Tunis.

Bianca Ojukwu announced plans to establish the Nigeria-Tunisia Joint Commission by September or October 2023, after delays due to COVID-19. Ojukwu also called for reviving the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), along with a joint tourism package and finalising a Visa-Free Agreement for diplomatic passport holders.
The Minister led a Nigerian delegation, including Bauchi State Governor Sen. Bala Mohammed, Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi the second and Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, were all emphasizing Nigeria’s growing potential as an investment destination.
