Sakina Bello, a 300 level student of Botany with Bayero University has been abducted on Tuesday around 3:00pm.
The police public relations officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed receiving report of the abduction. He said effort to track Sakina and her abductors is already ongoing.
The victim was onboard tricycle called adaidaita sahu in Kano when the incidence occured between Janbulo and Rijiyar zaki in Kano metropolis.
Family sources confirmed to DailyNigerian that the abductors had contacted them on Wednesday demanding 100 million ransom.
When contacted Lamara Garba the official spokesman of Bayero University, Kano sadi they have not been aware of the case as the school is not on session since July.
“We are not on session. We have no any student residing on campus, and we have not received any incident of abduction of any student,”
