The federal ministry of finance has reacted to a report of fire outbreak at its Abuja headquaters carried by a section of the media on Wednesday.
Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi, a special adviser, media and communications to the mnister of Finance, Budget and National Planning Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, faulted the report in a statement issued. He said the fire involved a battery pack that has since put out.
“The Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters is not on fire as reported on the social media. Rather there was an incident on the corridor in the basement involving an isolated battery Pack (Photo inset) and it was quickly put out by the security personnel on duty,”
