FEC approves a variation of N3.9B to complete 5 federal secretariats

The Federal Executive Council, approved a variation of 3.9 billion naira for the completion of federal secretariat projects in Anambra, Bayelsa, Nasarawa, Zamfara and Osun states.

The Council also approved 1.5 billion naira for the rehabilitation of the second phase of the Usuma Dam at Bwari, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Muhammed Bello, confirmed these developments at a briefing on the outcome of the Council meeting, presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fashola stated that the secretariat projects were initially awarded in 2011 at the cost of 13.5 billion naira, saying the approved 3.9 billion naira variation was for all the five projects, bringing the total cost of the projects to 17.4 billion naira.
