Barely 10 hours after he gave him Vice Chairman of Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KDIPA), Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i has again named the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Chancellor of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
A statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, which announced the new appointment, said that Sanusi succeeds the pioneer Chancellor, His Highness, Malam Tagwai Sambo, the Chief of Moro’a, who was appointed to the role in 2005.
The statement which was signed by Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, Special Adviser on Media and Communication, said Muhammad Sanusi II has demonstrated a strong commitment to education.
The statement further said that Governor El-Rufai has conveyed the profound appreciation of the government to His Highness Malam Tagwai Sambo for the long years of distinguished service to Kaduna State University and the state at large.
