Eid El-Kabir:Emulate Prophet Ibrahim, Ayade’s Adviser on Muslim Affairs Tells Ummah

Nigerian Muslims living in Cross River State have been advised to emulate the sacrifice, Obidience and Loyalty as  exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) as they join other faithful to celebrate  Eid El-Kabir Celebrations.

Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade  on Muslim Affairs, Alhaji Tanimu Hassan, gave the  advise in a Sallah message to the Muslim community in Cross River State,describing the 2020 Eid El-Kabir Celebrations as a unique one amidst Covid-19 Pandemic.

Hassan while calling on the Muslims to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols as they Celebrate the feast, reminding them that physical distancing,Washing of Hands and use of face mask remain part of requirements for any religious gathering in Cross River State.

Hassan also reminded the ummah that health of every Muslims is important to the Government of Cross River State led by Sir Ben Ayade saying” it is only when we are healthy that we can practice our religion inline with the dictate of Allah”.
“For us as Muslims,Governor Ben Ayade has given us a special place by creating the Department of Muslim Affairs in his office,which is the first of it’s kind in the whole of Southern Nigeria.

“We should use the period of Eid to offer prayers to Allah,Our Country Nigeria and the Government and People of Cross River State for the peaceful coexistence and togetherness as People.
“To all the Muslim Ummah, I encourage you to emulate the virtues of  sacrifice,total obedience, love and care, and loyalty as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim which is the whole essence of this celebration” the statement said.
