The Kano State Government has declared its plan to distribute foodstuff as paliative in all the 484 wards in the state.

This was stated by the state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabiri Yusuf.

Mr. Yusuf made the disclosure in a meeting with members of the state business community to passion out ways to tackle rising cost of goods that took place at the State Government House, Kano.

Abba Kabir lamented how prices of commodities are skyrocketing at the expense of the common man.

“Civil servants and small-scale business owners are finding it hard to feed,” he lamented.

As part of measures to tackle this crisis at the state level, he announced, plans have been made to distribute foodstuff to all the 484 wards in Kano State.

“We are also collaborating with the business community to chart ways of bringing down prices of commodities that would be affordable to common citizens in the state, especially as the Ramadan fasting season is fast approaching,” he announced.

Abba Gida-Gida also promised to meet President Bola Tinubu to report to him the situation, for his intervention.
