Dino Melaye, a PDP senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, and one of the most controversial senators in the 8th Assembly, has on Saturday June 1st, 2019 declared interest to contest for governorship seat of the state.
The governorship elections earlier slated for November 16, 2019 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is going to be a hot contest between APC’s Yahaya Bello and whoever emerge on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Blueprint earlier reports that Senator Melaye made his bid known in Ayetoro, Kogi state while formally informing the People Democratic Party, PDP stalwarts in his constituency.
He assured his party that if chosen by his party, and with God on his side, he will be the next governor of Kogi state.
