The suspended and later demoted Deputy Police Commissioner Abba Kyari, has filed a suit before an Abuja based Federal High Court challenging his continual detention by the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Recall that Mr. Kyari was recently declared wanted by the National Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, over a drug deal linking him with an international drug cartel.
Later, the Nigeria Police Force apprehended the suspended DCP and handed him over to the NDLEA for investigation.
In a suit numbered FHC/ABJ/CS/182/22, Kyari prayed the Federal High Court to mandate the NDLEA to grant him bail on health grounds, pending the hearing and determination of his fundamental right enforcement application.
