The government of Zamfara State has directed the closure of all schools due to rampant attack on schools and abduction.
Conveying the government’s decision, Zamfara state commissioner of police also disclosed restriction of movement – from 6pm to 6am- in 13 local government areas. But for Gusau, the capital, movement restriction will be from 8pm to 6am.
The Kaya Day Secondary School in Maradun Local Government Area was on Wednesday invaded by gunmen and whisked away several students.
The decision according to the commissioner is indefinite.
