On Monday, the 21st of September, 2020, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had received in audience the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Reverend Yakubu Pam at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi. 

Governor Bala who expressed delight over the visit by the Commission on the day set aside as International Peace Day, said with the dynamic leadership of the Executive Secretary, the Commission will witness massive transformation and development. 

The governor commended the Christian community in the state for their contributions towards the progress and development of the state. 
On his part, Reverend Yakubu Pam commended Governor Bala for his support to the commission and for the maintenance of peace and security as well as other developmental projects.

He said the commission is in Bauchi for a one-day sensitisation in preparation for the 2020 Christian pilgrimage slated for December, 2020.
Still on Monday, Lawal Muazu Bauchi,Special Assistant on  New Media to the Governor reported that Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and his Deputy, His Excellency, Senator Baba Tela had been inducted as members of Rotary International club in the state.

During an interactive session, Governor Bala expressed delight that the club is coming back to Bauchi during his tenure. 

The Governor who commended the club for its outstanding contributions in the polio eradication in Nigeria, promised that his administration would work with them to address infrastructure and services gaps in the state. 
Governor Bala who welcomed the partnership with them, hopes that by establishing the club in the state, communities would have access to various interventions by the club.

The Governor appreciated the visit and thanked the former Military Administrator, retired Colonel Theophilus Bamigboye for his support to his administration. 

While making his remarks, the former Military Administrator in Bauchi State, Retired Colonel  Theophilus Bamigboye, member of Rotary Club noted with satisfaction, the ongoing developmental projects in the state. 
On her part, the District Governor, District 9125, Mrs Jumoke Bamigboye said Rotary International is an international service organization whose purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. 

The District Governor appealed to Governor Bala to support the club in the state for the benefit of communities in the state.

It was reported on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2020, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had received the Acting General Officer Commanding, 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Musa Danmadami. 

Governor Bala who welcomed the new GOC to Government House Bauchi, commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for strengthening security in the state.  

He said the surveillance carried out by the Nigerian Army is assisting Bauchi State Government in the maintenance of peace and security. 
 Governor Bala commended the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army for various initiatives for the maintenance of peace and appealed for permanent surveillance in Jos Road to address security challenges in the area.

 Governor Bala added that his administration would continue to support the Nigerian Army to perform its constitutional responsibilities accordingly. 
During the visit, the governor called for the relocation of the Nigerian Army Bauchi Barracks and promised full support for the smooth take-off of the new barracks.

On his part, the Acting General Officer Commanding, 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Musa Danmadami said the visit is to seek for more collaboration between the State Government and the Nigerian Army. 

He said the division is doing its best to ensure the maintenance of peace and security in the zone, assuring renewed commitment to sustain the spirit. 

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had also received the officials of the Bauchi State Branch, Nigerian Medical Association within the week under review.
Governor Bala during the visit, said the outstanding performance of the health workers in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic will forever be remembered. 

He explained that the declaration of state of emergency in the health sector was to ensure effective healthcare delivery and to tackle challenges facing the system. 

He appealed to the association to come up with solutions on the challenges of healthcare during the forthcoming Health summit. 

Governor Bala assured them of building a functional Secretariat for the association in the state. 

The Chairman of the Association, Dr Adamu Sambo commended Governor Bala for declaring State of Emergency in the Health sector of the state. 
He expressed delight with the efforts of his administration to fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the state and for the payment of allowances to health workers working on the pandemic. 

He took time to mention the various challenges in the Health sector and recommended solutions to ensure the advancement of the sector. 
Dr Sambo expressed sadness over the discovery of ghost doctors in the state’s payroll and promised to support the Governor to sanitize the system
Still on health matters, a team of engineers from various tertiary institutions in the state who developed COVID-19 Solar handwashing machines had visited Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on Wednesday.

Receiving the machines at the Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala appealed to the federal government to encourage innovations that are geared towards the total eradication of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. 
He said the innovation by the team of Bauchi engineers has come at a time when the country is looking for a solution to tackle the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor who was delighted with the giant efforts of the innovators, pledged to support such initiatives.
The team leader of the engineers, Engineer Abubakar Musa said developing the machine is part of their support to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in the state. 

He said the solar machine has three components of hand washing, drying and temperature taking, and it was produced in line with international best practices.

On politics, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had on Wednesday welcomed Kachallan Katagum, Dr Samaila Dahuwa to the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Bauchi state. 

He said the Kachallan Katagum’s coming into PDP family is definitely a very big catch of moments, especially in the politics of Bauchi state of today
The Governor, therefore, enjoined all PDP members in Bauchi state to rejoice and celebrate with Dr Samaila Dahuwa in order to move the state to prosperity and growth.

On another development, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had received in audience the officials of National Emergency Management Agency  (NEMA), who paid him an advocacy visit at the Government House Bauchi. 

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, His Excellency, Senator Baba, thanked the Agency for the for visit describing it as timely due to the recent floodings in the state. 
The Governor said 15 Local Government Areas of the state have been affected with flood with property worth over nine hundred and fifty million naira.
He said the state government has received 220 trucks of food items from critical stakeholders. 

Governor Bala commended the Agency for its support to the state government and called for more to mitigate the effect of flood in the state. 
The Director-General of NEMA, represented by the Director, Liaison Services, Bashir Idris sympathized with the Bauchi State Government over flood that affected many communities of the state. 
He said the Agency has embarked on advocacy visit on 2020 flood disaster in the country.  

On the other news, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had, in the rain, paid an unscheduled visit to the ongoing road project from CBN Round About, Federal Lowcost to Railway.
Despite the rain, the residence of the areas came out en mass to welcome Governor Bala to their areas in appreciation for the ongoing road project. 
Governor Bala had also visited patients in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi where he presented to them a number of gifts. 

The Governor was accompanied by a top government officials including his Deputy, Senator Baba Tela.

Also within the week, the Executive Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed received in audience the officials of the Nigerian Snakebite Research and Intervention Centre, Bayero University, Kano, who visited him at his official office, Government House, Bauchi.
Governor Bala who described their visit as timely considering the problem of snakebite facing various communities of the state, said his administration will work with them to establish a centre for the treatment of snakebite patients in the state.

The Governor enjoined them to support his administration in order to come to the aid of snakebite patients through alleviating their sufferings.
He said Duguri town is one of the areas that was affected by the problem of snakebite in addition to other communities of the state. 
Governor Bala promised to give the required support for the management of snakebite in the state and for the benefit of Nigerians.

The team leader, Professor Abdulrazaq Habib said the visit is to celebrate the 2020International Snakebite Awareness Day with the Governor because of his commitment to address the challenges of snakebite in the state. 
He said, over the years, the forum has conducted many programmes in Bauchi and other states especially in the area of training of healthcare workers and provision of equipments and instrument for clinical treatment. 

Still on visits, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed received the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs and Child Development, Mrs Pauline Tallen at the Government House, Bauchi. 

Receiving the Honourable Minister, Governor Bala said her visit will make the state happy and beneficial to women folks in the state.
He described the Honourable Minister as a role model and as an activist who was committed to the development of women.
He said as Governor, he will do everything possible to encourage women to participate in governance as well as supporting women groups to fight for the right of women.

Governor Bala promised to ensure full implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law, and to consider domestication of child right act.
The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Child Development, Her Excellency, Mrs Pauline Tallen commended Governor Bala for ensuring the welfare of women and children especially the signing into law, Violence Against Persons Prohibition.

The Minister called for more support to women by strengthening the capacity of the State Ministry of Women and Child Development.
On the other hand, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had, in the rain, paid a condolence visit to the family of late Yusuf Abdullahi at his residence in Magama Gari of Toro Local Government. 

Until his death, late Yusuf Abdullahi was the Commander of Danga Security in Toro Local Government Area. 

Governor Bala was accompanied to the condolence visit by the State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam and top government officials. 
The governor who expressed shock over the death of the commander, said it is an irreparable loss to the community. 

Governor Bala prayed to Allah SWT to grant him Janna and forgive his shortcomings as well as the courage of bearing the loss to the family. 
He added that late Yusuf lived an exemplary life by serving his community, saying that he will personally support the family he left behind. 
On their part, the family of late Yusuf thanked Governor Bala Muhammad for the condolence and prayed for the continued success of his administration. 

On Thursday, the 24th of September, 2020, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed received an award of excellence from Kaura Patriotic Group in recognition of his outstanding performance and selfless services towards ensuring the speedy development of the state. 
Receiving the award, Governor Bala thanked the group for finding him worthy of the award and described it as a morale booster. 

The group said the award presented to the Governor is to also encourage him to do more for the welfare and wellbeing of the citizens of the state. 
On Saturday, 26th of September, 2020, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Muhammad was at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport alongside former governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Babangida Aliyu of Niger state and former Minister Special Duties Tanimu Turaki (SAN) on their way to Minna, the Niger state capital for an official visit. 
In Minna, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as the Chairman PDP committee on “2019 Election Review” led emanate chieftains of the party on a visit to former military Head of States, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his Minna Hilltop Residence. 

The delegation includes Former Governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Former Minister Special Duties and Chairman PDP ministers forum Tanimu Turaki, DanMasanin Gwandu (SAN) among others.
They were warmly received by the Former Head of State
Speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, Governor Bala thanked the former Nigerian leader for giving them the opportunity to see him, saying that the visit is to solicit for his support on the committee’s assigned responsibilities. 

Governor Bala said with the victory of the People’s Democratic Party in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Edo state, similar development will also be recorded in the forthcoming Ondo state gubernatorial election.
Back in Abuja, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed had visited his boss and immediate past President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan at his Abuja residence.

The governor who is the chairman of the PDP 2019 election review led the PDP top delegation among which include former governors of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, Niger, Babangida Aliyu, former minister, Special Duties Tanimu Turaki (SAN) among others to visit the former Nigerian leader. 
On Sunday 27th September, 2020 comes a report that Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed led the members of his committee of the PDP 2019 General Election Review on an advocacy visit to former Senate President, Mr David Mark.

The delegation includes former governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Former Minister Special Duties and Chairman PDP Ministers Forum Tanimu Turaki, DanMasanin Gwandu (SAN) among others.

The visit to former Senate President was to intimate him on the activities of the committee and to seek for his support. 
On the same day, the members of committee of the PDP 2019 General Election Review under the leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed paid an advocacy visit to the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. 

The visit was in line with the committee’s quest to meet with critical stakeholders especially statesmen of the party for their inputs as well as suggestions in line with their terms of reference.
