Bandits have abducted four students of the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, near the institution’s campus.

According to eyewitness accounts, the students were abducted on Friday night when the gunmen stormed the area, shooting sporadically.

The abducted students were identified as Aisha AbdulSalam, AbdulRahman Suleiman, Hassan Usman, and Yusuf Abdulllahi.

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the incident, saying that efforts are being made to rescue the abducted students and apprehend the perpetrators.

This is not the first time bandits have abducted students in Katsina State. In December 2020, over 300 students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, were abducted by bandits.
