Banditry: Miyetti Allah hands Over Suspected ‘Kidnappers’, Gun Runners

Leadership of Taraba state Miyetti Allah cattle breaders Association has suing an inauguration of 16-man committee on Criminal activities, handed 11 suspected kidnappers and gun runners to the police. 

The chaiman of Miyyetti Allah in the state, Sahabi Tukur, said  this was in fullfulment of a promised they did to response to the Emir of Muri Alhaji Abbas Tafida, and state Commissioner of police that they will expose criminal elements among them. 

The event happened at Maraban kunini, on Sunday, where according to Tukur, the committee was drawn from all clans of Gulani accross the state. 

The Police Commissioner Mr Abimbola Sokoya commanded the action of Miyetti Allah saying his command will provide all the necessary support for the organization to fish out criminal elements in their midst. 

While calling on Adamawa, Benue and Taraba for synergy to fight criminality, six kidnappers who repented took oath with Qur’an not to anymore engaged in kidnapping, cattle rustling or any form of criminal activity.
