Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has directed for the immediate reinstatement of Yankwashi local Government council Chairman Alhaji Mubarak Ahmed Achilafiya.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Commissioner Ministry for Local Government Alhaji Kabiru Hassan Sugungun.
It was earlier reported that Jigawa State House of Assembly has indefinitely suspended the Council Chairman of Yankwashi Local Government Area of the State over alleged disloyalty to the State chairman of the All-Progressives Congress, APC.
The Chairman, House committee on Information, member representing Kafin Hausa Constituency, Honorable Muhammad Na’im disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.
He said the council chairman was suspended over alleged mischief and spreading false information against the State Chairman of the APC, Aminu Sani Gumel.
He, however, explained that the House had also received a series of complaints of misappropriation of public funds and abuse of office against eight other council chairmen.
However, one of the council chairmen, who preferred anonymity, described the accusations as false and unfounded. He said the allegation was a mere political witch-hunt.
