Crisis in All Progressive Congress in Kano state has reached a climax that Saturday’s state congress came in two.
The government backed holds its congress at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium while the faction jointly led by former Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and Rep. Sha’aban Sharada is holding its own at Sani Abacha Youth Center.
This newspaper recall that a group led by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau had petitioned the national headquarters of the APC against the state Apc they accused of not carrying them along in all the party’s affairs.
However today, the Shekarau led group held parallel congress when the government-backed faction holds another in the state capital.
Alhaji Haruna Danzago has set to be emerged as the factional state party chairman in Kano while Abdullahi Abbas to the other faction loyal to state government.
