Dear Hon. Member,
As a student and passionate believer of Marxist School of thought, I believe it was difficult to set a goal if the goal we are setting isn’t neccesarily the goal of those who would implement it down the road.
Any peoples as a tribe or community has their ups and downs, some call it challenges, obstacles or failure. But, Jahun/Miga current political tribulation they are seeing from Hon. Member representing their Federal Constituency (Miga/Jahun) is not beneficial component for alignment and realignment ahead of a better confrontations. And it doesn’t look like demoralised nor feel to quit the game.
According to my perspective, the way and manner by which peoples are being treated by anyone is dependent upon how they stand up and for their rights.
Honourable Sir, you had spend almost five years in office, but for all those years, it seem like you represent yourself in spotlight with impunity to your electrotes face, with characters that consider as recurrent expenditure instead of an investment on human capital and productivity, without making any meaningful case for the impoverished people of your constituency neither do made any meaningful contribution to the discussions on the Nigerian questions.
Sir, forgive me but we thought you seek that office with the sheer dream of improving the lives of your constutuents and meaningful reforms for the betterment of the country. Not for the personal self-enrichment and other privileges attached to the offices.
It was clear to us as we read in Newspapers and social media how your colleagues representing different Federal constituency in Nigeria are working tirelessly and effectively to constructively solves their electorates problems. Sir, as one of them, what have you done in your capacity after five years as memeber of the National Assembly? So far I had personally know, you had never pariorized any pro-peoples policies and life touching reforms, neither responded to the pleas of your people, or rushed to make sure their problems are been solved.
Sir, are you really aware of how our students are being faced with so many challenges with regard to the cost of living in their institutions which interfere negatively with their academic performances? What of the teeming youth who couldn’t even afford to pay for their registration fees?
Honourable Sir, We’ve heard how your colleagues are procuring permanent or temporary residential quarters for their students adjacent to their respective schools and awarding them with annual scholarship with which they can use in settling their tuition fee and acquiring some learning materials among others. Which was a nice approach and of course a promising stepping stone toward arresting the situation before reaching extremity.
Sir, are you aware about the issue of unemployment which was also been a nagging problem and a matter of preference that need an utmost heed and urgent intervention? If not then that it has indulged so many of our prospective youths that have vast wealth of intelligence and potentials to the society into committing various crimes notable among which is substances and drugs abuse. We always heard and read in the Newspapers how other Honourable Members are succeding in securing jobs for their constituents.
More over, for all the years you spend in office, Sir had you Introduce any vocational trainings and viable social investment programs, which will help in rescuing these youths and other impoverished citizens, as they can improve on or startup many small and medium scale businesses so that they can cater for themselves and their close associates. As you know better, this would in turn lead to the betterment of the whole community at large both in term of economic, political and sociocultural perspectives.
Lastly, my candid advice to all and sundry is that we must accept the fact, to accept the fact that community or nation building must be a collective, non-partisan, beyond favoritism. By allowing the best to lead irrespective of his affiliation. We must be very cautious of those we trust into elective offices.
Whenever group of people team up together and fight for a common course under a single umbrella, no doubt, their voice must be heard and action must be surely taken.
