The Armed Forces Command and Staff College inaugurated the Staff Duties Course 136 today 26 April, 2024, with a total strength of 54 personnel from the Nigerian Armed Forces comprising of 37 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) from the Army, 9 from the Nigerian Navy and 8 Nigerian Air Force. The event took place in Isaac Alfa Hall of the College in Jaji Military Cantonment.
In his inaugural address the Commandant AFCSC Air Vice Marshal HI Alhaji, represented by the Director Department of Joint Studies Brigadier General NN Rume, stated that todays Inauguration Ceremony marks an important milestone in the careers of the selected Senior Non- Commissioned Officers. He added that the course is a determining benchmark for their prospects, progress and aspirations as Administrative Clerks, Supervisors and Personal Assistants in the various services.
He reiterated that the objective of the College is to develop the professional knowledge and understanding of selected officers and men of the Armed Forces in order to prepare them for increasing responsibilities both in Staff and Command appointments. Thereafter, he urged the students to take their studies with a high sense of seriousness during their stay in the College, which is poised to improving the standard of learning.
