The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee at its virtual meeting yesterday shared a total sum of 619.343 billion naira as federation allocation for the month of December 2020 to the three tiers of government.
From this amount, the Federal Government received 218.297 billion naira; states received 178.28 billion naira; Local Government councils got 131.792 billion naira; while the oil producing states received 31.827 billion naira as 13 per cent derivation of mineral revenue.
A statement issued in Abuja by the spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hassan Dodo, also stated that the cost of collection, transfer and refunds gulped 59.147 billion naira. Revenue available from the Value Added Tax for was 171.358 billion naira as against 158.785 billion naira distributed in the preceding month.
