Bandits have reportedly killed a police man and injured another in Chukuba village in Shiroro local government of Niger state.
The incident, it was learnt, occurred yesterday in a fresh attack during which several cows were rustled.
In a Similar attack yesterday in Rafi Local Government area of the state the armed bandits in their large number abducted five persons at Rigo village.
The embattled Chairman of the Shiroro local government, Suleiman Dauda Chukuba confirmed the incident to Newsmen in a telephone interview.
An eye witness and an indigene of Shiroro local government who pleaded anonymity also confirmed the incident explaining that the incident left many villagers confused.
He however appealed to both the Niger state and Federal Government to come to their aid and save people of Shiroro local government council from persistent bandits attack.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Niger State Police Command ASP Wasiu Abiodun neither confirm nor denied the incident when contacted by Blueprint.
