The Federal Executive Council presided by President Muhammadu Buhari has approved contracts worth 44.5 billion naira for various contracts under the ministries of Works and Housing, Power and Federal Capital Territory.
The council also approved 8.1 billion naira for the completion of the rehabilitation of some roads across the country.
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, revealed this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the last cabinet meeting for the year 2020.
Fashola listed the benefiting states to include Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Cross River, Nasarawa, Lagos, Ogun, Kogi, Edo, Yobe and Delta States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, on his part said council approved over 4.7 billion naira for the power sector. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, said Council approved contracts for water treatment projects and roads within the territory, to the tune 31.6 billion naira.
