Nigeria-Algeria strengthen ties, Tuggar officiates New Nigerian Embassy

To further push for West-North African relations, Nigeria and Algeria plans to deepen strategic partnerships.

This was during a high-level meeting in Algiers, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, and his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, agreed to revitalize cooperation across the political, economic, and multilateral spheres including reviving the Nigeria-Algeria Binational Commission.

Yusuf Tuggar, in a statement, emphasized on aligning regional strategies and amplifying Africa’s voice globally.

In another development, the statement noted the minister has launched the construction of Nigeria’s new embassy chancery in Algiers’, located at Dely Ibrahim district.

He stated that the state-of-the art building will feature enhanced security and facilities, aimed at improving consular services and diplomatic operations.

The Construction begins immediately and it is expected to be completed within 18 months, aligning with Nigeria’s foreign service modernization goals.
