
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has charged newly posted Commissioners of Police to uphold the principles of professionalism and quality leadership in their various states. This directive is part of Egbetokun’s vision to ensure professional leadership in critical areas and enhance the operational effectiveness of the Force.
The Nigeria Police Force has announced new postings for senior police officers. CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid has been posted to Borno State Command, while CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua has been posted to Cross-River State Command. Other postings include CP Dahiru Mohammed to Jigawa State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal to Ondo State Command, and CP Ibrahim Gotan to Osun State Command. Additionally, CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo has been posted to the Department of Training and Development at the Force Headquarters, and CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin has been posted to the FCID Annex in Gombe State as CP General Investigation.
IGP Egbetokun emphasized the importance of professionalism and quality leadership in ensuring the safety and security of citizens within their respective jurisdictions. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun was confirmed as the substantive Inspector General of Police by the Nigeria Police Council in October 2023, after serving as the Acting IGP since June 2023. He has been working to revolutionize the Nigerian Police Force, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, integrity, and citizen-friendly policing.
