Gov. Yusuf, Namadi Leads Delegation to Late Aminu Dantata’s Funeral in Madina

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State departs the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport tonight leading a high-powered delegation to attend the funeral rites of the late business mogul and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in the holy city of Madina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who died in the early hours of Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The Governor is joined on this solemn journey by the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, alongside Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Umar Namadi, former Governor Barr. Ali Saad Birnin Kudu and other top government officials and respected dignitaries from the state.

The late Aminu Dantata, a towering figure in commerce, philanthropy, and community service, passed away in Abu Dhabi, where he had spent his final days in devotion.

His death marks the end of an era, closing a significant chapter in the history of Nigerian enterprise and benevolence.

Speaking shortly before departure at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Governor Yusuf described the late Dantata as “a father to many, whose generosity and commitment to humanity transcended borders.”

The Governor emphasized that the delegation’s presence in Madina is a testament to the deep respect and gratitude the people and government of Kano State hold for the life and legacy of the late elder statesman.

The funeral in Madina is expected to draw state and federal delegation, family members, business associates, Islamic scholars, and admirers from across the world, all united in prayer for the repose of his soul.

Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata will be remembered for his humility, unwavering faith, and extraordinary contributions to economic development and social upliftment in Nigeria and beyond.
