Dangote Petroleum Refinery is set to revolutionize Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape with the launch of a nationwide initiative to supply Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms firms, aviation, and other large users. According to the refinery, “This strategic programme is part of our broader commitment to eliminating logistics costs, enhancing energy efficiency, promoting sustainability and supporting Nigeria’s economic development.”
The initiative, which begins on August 15, 2025, will provide free logistics support, leveraging 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers. “Our goal is to provide equitable access to affordable fuel for all Nigerians, regardless of location, making energy more accessible and sustainable for everyone, wherever they may be,” the refinery stated.
This pioneering effort is expected to have a significant impact on the economy, driving job creation, stimulating small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing government revenue, and improving fuel access in rural communities. The refinery will also offer a credit facility to eligible buyers, allowing them to obtain additional fuel on credit, further supporting businesses and individuals.
The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reflecting a shared commitment to economic progress and inclusive development. By providing affordable fuel and promoting economic growth, the Dangote Refinery is playing a crucial role in supporting Nigeria’s economic development.
Registration for the initiative, including Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, will take place from June 16 to August 15. Marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecom companies, and other stakeholders are invited to participate in this landmark initiative, which promises to transform Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape and drive economic growth.
