Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen has commiserated with the government and people of Niger State over the flood disaster that occurred in Mokwa, leaving scores of residents dead and thousands displaced.
In a condolence message, the Speaker described the disaster as tragic and unfortunate, lamenting the huge loss of lives, property, and livelihoods of the victims.
Speaker Abbas urges the Federal Government through its relevant agencies to adequately respond to emergencies while appealing to residents of Mokwa community to remain undaunted despite the environmental challenge.
