The vice presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Yusuf Buhari in 2023, alongside the party’s governorship candidate in kano, including local government contestants and members of the working committee have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
They said their defection was motivated by the successes being recorded by President Bola Tinubu.
Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin while addressing the defectors, said the attempt by some politicians to use the SDP as a platform to compete against the APC in 2027 is a mission in futility.
