NDE Launches Jobs Initiative

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has officially launched its 93,731 Jobs Initiative, a significant step towards addressing unemployment in Nigeria.

The initiative, according to the NDE aimed was at empowering thousands of Nigerians with sustainable job opportunities.

The launched took place at the NDE FCT Skills Acquisition Centre, Kuduru-Bwari, on Friday.

The programme is designed to provide vocational, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills training to 93,731 unskilled and unemployed individuals across Nigeria.

The launch ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Senator Diket Pleng, Hon. Adefarati Adeboye, and Engr. Tiza Chilla Shaakaa represented the Hon. Minister for State, Labour and Employment, Barr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

The Director-General of the NDE, H.E Silas Agara, emphasized the agency’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth and tackling unemployment through practical skills acquisition and job creation programs.

This initiative is part of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, which aims to foster economic growth and reduce poverty across the country.
