Kano State Gov’t Donates 100M to Traders at Kwari market

On Thursday, Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has visited the Kwari market in Kano days after an inferno occurred in the market.

The governor has symphasized with the vicims and pledge a support of 100 Million Naira.

Abba Kabir in a statement he signed, said “While there, I announced a donation of 100 million naira on behalf of the Kano State Government to mitigate the effect of damage to the affected traders.”

The governor noted that the Kano State Government is committed to improving the conducive atmosphere to promote ease of doing business in the market through installation of solar lights, rehabilitation of road network, construction of drainages and provision of motorised boreholes, among others.

He lso implored the management of the market to initiate programmes that would assist the traders to conduct their daily businesses without hitches.
