The Borno state government has provided an immediate relief measures to the victims of the recent flood disaster that ravaged the city of Maiduguri.
Borno state Governor Babagana Umara Zulum personally supervised provision of the relief to the victims at the designated camps within Maiduguri and environs.
As early as 05:30 in the morning, Governor Zulum was at Bakkasi temporary shelter where victims of the flood disaster are currently taking refuge , during which he supervised the continued profiling of the victims.
Thereafter ,each male and female beneficiary received ten thousand naira to enable them meet their needs.
On arrival at the various camps yesterday,government officials have provided basic needs such as water and food to the victims.
The profiling of the victims will enable government provide other interventions coming from both the state and federal governments.
