The governors of the All Progressive Congress have submitted names of 6 aspirants to President Muhammadu Buhari for selection.
The submission came after APC chairman Abdullahi Adamu declared Senator Ahmad Lawan as consensus candidate citing that Lawan is Buhari’s annointment. The decision was however, falsified by President Buhari through Garba Shehu, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
The names according to sources were based on geopolitical zones favoring power shift to the south.
South west; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti state governor.
David Umahi will participate frim South East, while Rotimi Ameachi stands from the South south and Ahmed Lawan, the senate president from North east.
