Muslim faithfuls begin fasting Saturday as sultanate council confirm moon sighting

Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria have been ordered to begin 1443 Hijri fasting as the month of ramadhān set in.

This was contained according to a statement declaring sighting the cresent of ramadhān in Nigeria.

The sultanate under the supereme council of Islamic affairs chair by Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III made the disclosure through its National moon sighting committee.
