Kano: Police Arrest 4 Suspects Over Shi’ite, community clash

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer, Kano State Police Command confirmed the arrest of 4 suspects in connection with a clash between some people of Dorayi babba community and the followers of Shi’a muslim sect that claimed properties. 

“We already have 4 peoples in our detention and the Police Commissioner has already directed for the tranfer of the case to Criminal Investigation Department fo discrete investigation.”

People in the community who reacted to the development inform this newpaper that the clash may not be unconnected to land owned by a shi’ite who hosted his fellow for an event.
