Some gunmen were said to have invaded the Gora Gan community in Zango-Kataf Local Area of Kaduna State, killing seven people including a 70-year-old man and a six-year-old girl.
It was gathered that four among those killed during the incident which happened yesterday night were members of the same family.
Also, no fewer than 13 houses and two shops were razed by the gunmen who came in their large numbers and shot indiscriminately in the community about 8:00 pm.
Scores of persons sustained injuries during the attack. A government statement today confirmed and condemned the attack.
Similarly, it also said the government was informed of another indiscriminate shooting today on the Fadan Kagoma to Kwoi Road in Jema’a Local Government Area.
It said a driver was shot by the gunmen but has been stabilized while governor El-Rufai had ordered an investigation into the shooting.
