People Democratic Party (PDP), Gombe North senatorial candidate, Alh Muhammad Ribadu relinquishes his candidature to Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo as a compensation to his loss at PDP presidential primaries.
Ribadu, who recently clinches the Gombe North senatorial ticket made the sacrifice to enable Dankwambo bring more development to Gombe state at the red chamber.
He describes Dankwambo’s loss to the former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar as a huge loss to Nigeria at a welcome reception organized by the party leadership in honour of Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo at Gombe state.
He added that Dankwambo as an architec of modern Gombe, will do more to his people at the red chamber, if he was given the opportunity, and he can’t deny him that chance.
Urging Dankwambo to accept the gesture done to him, PDP governorship candidate, Alh Usman Nafada describes Ribadu’s decision as a true sacrifice, putting people first before his ambition.
Nafada called on party loyalist to work painstakingly to ensure PDP’s victory in 2019 election.
Dankwambo stated that before making a decision regarding to gesture done to him, he will like to consult his supporters and relevant stakeholders.
He urges supporters and campaign teams to work towards ensuring the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar’s victory in 2019.
He added that the support accorded to him when vying for PDP presidential ticket was highly appreciated and cannot be overlooked.
