200 Level University Student Won $10,000 Grant For Solar Powered Kiosk Innovation

Usman Dalhatu, the founder of Dalsman Tech has won a start up grant of $10, 000 for his creation of a Tea vendor solar powered kiosk.

Usman was accepted into All On and Rockefeller Foundation funded Nigeria Climate Innovation Center, NCIC, 2021 off grid energy incubation programme.

Wieber Boer, the CEO of All On said after pitching of the 20 finalists in the NCIC programme this week, “Dalman was selected as one of the eight winners of the $10,000 start up grants,”

Wieber explained that “the fund would be use for scale up production of the solar powered kiosks for distribution to kiosk franchise owners in Kaduna, Kano, FCT and Abuja,”

The innovation would be used to creat access to cleaner energy for tens of thousands of tea vendors stand across Nigeria he added.
