The National Youth Conference convened by the Ministry of Youth and Sport Development is estimated to host at least 10,000 youths accross the nation.

The conference coming between 12 and 15th October 2021, according to a statement by the ministry on Monday.

“The conference, which was made possible by the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari, is premised on the realisation that Nigeria needs her youths not only to be supported and developed, but to understand the dimensions of political developments, grasp national issues and consciously place themselves in a position of co-builders.

“The ministry explained that the conference is also to achieve the fullness of inclusiveness for the nation’s youth. It is also clear that a deep and concise conversation is necessary with the young men and women we believe will be entrusted with our nation’s future; a conversation away from the adult dominated national conferences that have hitherto been the norm.”

370 youth deligates from the 36 states and the FCT will participate in the conference.

“Over 10,000 youth are expected to hook up and participate in the conference virtually,” it added.
