In Bolki ward, Numan local government, at least seven people were killed by gunmen.
The attack was carried out around 11: pm tuesday night.
Confirming the attack, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa, said seven others who sustained injuries in the attack were responding to treatment at a hospital.
He stated that policemen had been deployed in the community to restore normalcy while investigation had commenced.
