The newly appointed National Chairman of the Nigerian Legion Morenike Grace Henry has promised to strengthen engagements with Federal Government, veterans and civil society in pursuit of the establishment of the ministry of veteran’s affairs.
She disclosed this at the handover ceremony held in Abuja where she pledged to prioritize welfare of veterans and families of fallen heroes.
Morenike Henry assured Nigerian veterans that her tenure will work towards unity of all veteran groups through the federation framework.
Morenike Grace Henry took over from the former acting national chairman, Maj Vincent Abiola making her the first woman in the nation’s history to lead the veteran organisation.
Before the appointment, Morenike Henry a military veteran and founder of the female military veteran association, served as the director of corporate affairs at the national headquarters of the Nigerian Legion.
