Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin has visited Kano’s largest phone market at Farm Centre to sympathise with the traders over the fire outbreak at the market, Friday.
During the visit,he expressed concern over the devastation and announced the donation of N200m for the provision of security and other gadgets to the traders to cushion the effects of the inferno.
Senator Barau acknowledged the significant role of the market as a source of income for hundreds of youths in the state stressing that provision of security is essential as a preventive measure.
