
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has commissioned a newly completed Nigeria Police Intelligence School located in Share, Kwara State—marking a significant milestone in the evolution of intelligence-led policing in Nigeria.
The institution is envisioned as a premier hub for training officers in modern intelligence-gathering techniques. It aims to equip personnel with the necessary skills and expertise to combat isdiverse security challenges, including crime, terrorism, and cyber threats.
In a strategic move towards inter-agency collaboration, the Intelligence School will also be open to members of other security and intelligence agencies. Its curriculum will feature specialized training in intelligence analysis, cybercrime investigation, forensic science, and counter-terrorism strategies.
The IGP, while appreciating the host community for the school, promised that it would operate at maximum functionality with immediate effect.
