Presidential flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has distanced himself from a blueprint in circulation purported to be his.

This was contained in a statement issued by Tinubu Media Support on Sunday, signed by Mahmud Muhammad, the National Cordinator.

“The Tinubu Media Support (TMS) is stunned with a supposed roadmap said to be an Agenda for our Principal – His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu and the All Progressive Congress (APC) flag-bearer for the 2023 General Elections. The said Agenda is already in circulation and trending in social media handles and outlets,” the statement said.

Muhammad continued, “For the avoidance of doubt, we state unequivocally that what is in circulation did not originate from His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, or his Presidential Campaign Council, nor the APC as a party or the Tinubu Support Group (TSG).

Our principal isn’t a novice in the art of politics and politicking and he knows when, where and how best to unfold his blueprint. No one will cow him to doing it at an inconsequential timing. Nevertheless, it should be re-emphasised that Tinubu is coming well-prepared for the office of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We however do appreciate the genuine concerns and thirst of the citizens to promote the candidature of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but it must be within the premise of fact, tact and at an appropriate time and place, his will be made known, if need be. Therefore, we call on all discerning minds to ignore the so called unscientific “Roadmap to Nigerian (sic) Greatness” purportedly said to be for Tinubu.

Moreover, we understand the game of those trying to bring such an issue to the front burner, amidst the on-going debate for his running mate, so as to create gratuitous national discourse, as well as cause rancour and unsolicited analysis cum scrutiny by the populace.”
