Let’s rescue Nigeria in 2023

97

2023 is fast approaching so why not join hand together and use our voter’s card and rescue Nigeria, by looking at the menaces facing this country I still believed that Nigr6will be great again by the grace of the omnipresence, omnipotent God.

As Mark Twain remainds us that “ in the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be patriot.” Thus Let’s join hand together and change the narration of this great country.

Nigeria is a country that is blessed with ample of mineral resources and other wealthy materials but what we lack is good governance, which I still believed that we can change it by using our rights to vote and be voted for.

Nigeria is a country bedevilled with ample of phenomenon which we can overcome by altering the bad governance with good governance and this is a very simple task to change if we wish because our voter’s card are in our hands.
2023 election is at the corner and ample of our politicians will go rally the towns seeking for our votes to go back to their seat which it sort not to happen in this way  because we have to choose wisely this time around because if you collect a little amount of money for your vote from a  politicians definitely you’ll suffer for another good four years, so we have to applied some rationales while choosing a leader.

We live in an age where the integrity of  our leaders are measured by the amount of ” stolen money” they give to the youth. They buy our conscience with meagre amount of money and turn us to slaves for years.

I can recall vividly that the Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde, in his Biweekly newsletter November 4, 2021 says, “we cannot move Nigeria forward by focusing on the problems. Yes, Nigeria has been plagued by bad governance, corruption and poverty. The solution to our problem lies in innovative thinking around the cause of the problems. We need to see opportunities. “and this statement will help in regaining the lost glory of our dear country.

Yes, Nigeria is a country bedevilled with myriad of problems but we are the problems why because if we wish we can change the bad happenings of this nation to a good one by using our voter’s card.

How I wish my fellows will come together as one big family to choose competent leaders in the 2023 upcoming election for the betterment of our future coming generations. Since we can change Nigeria by ourselves one may ask how? By using our voter’s card.

Simon Sinek says “Leaders are the ones who have the courage to go first. To put themselves at personal risk to open a path for others to follow.” But unfortunately here in Nigeria it’s always the followers that put themselves at personal risk to open a path for their leaders to follow. And you can wonder how things happen in our country, but this is the reality.

Leaders who lead ways has love and passion for their countries and citizens which give them the courage to lead. As reverse is the case here in Nigeria you cannot imagine which administration leads without fair or favour (that makes political will a thing of a past). When ever a leader has fears when it comes to implementing policies that are crucial to developing a nation, that country will not only be left back in terms of development rather it will lost it dignity before those it once outrage.

Our PVCs remain our last ever strong weapon in eliminating leaders that doesn’t mean our country and its people and the only means to achieving  our goal of restoring the lost glory of our dear nation.

Election has  never mean diversity, it was never a violence. No matter how bad elements manipulate it in achieving their selfish goals it will never be reason to act violently or cause unrest among your neighbours.
