Buhari expresses solidarity with Nigerian women

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured that Nigerians would no longer mourn and sorrow from loss of lives occasioned by insecurity in the country.

The President gave the assurance while sympathizing with families of policemen reportedly murdered in the Southeast by misguided separatist elements, who videotaped the bestial killings, and proceeded to share it widely on social media.

In a statement yesterday by his senior media aide, Femi Adesina, the President lamented the horrific nature of the bloodletting, saying that some minds are completely overtaken by hatred, and reduced to the basest level imaginable.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday expressed solidarity with Nigerian women as they observe 16 days of activism against Gender-Based Violence from November 25 to December 10, 2021.

The President’s media aide, Femi Adesina, said in a statement issued in Abuja that the president expressed the solidarity when he received the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen who visited him.
