We can’t invest in humanity with debt burden – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said developing countries cannot invest in humanity without relieving themselves from the crushing effects of the debt burden.

The president said there is no way services that contribute to the overall wellbeing of population can be improved as long as the countries continue to allocate more resources towards external debt servicing and repayment.

President Buhari spoke today at the 5th edition of the Future Investment Summit held in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, President Muhamadu Buhari has said different factors accounted for the country’s daunting security challenges.

He spoke yesterday during a brief ceremony at the State House, Abuja, where the Ambassadors of Japan, European Union, Burundi, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Cape Verde, France, Qatar; and High Commissioners of Sierra Leone and Ghana received Letters of Credence.

He said more partnerships are needed to fully overcome daunting challenges of insecurity in the country.
