Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has re-imposed a 24-hour curfew on Jos North Local Government Area of the state.

This followed the killings on Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North.

Sawaba reported how over 30 persons were killed and many houses were set ablaze in the area.

The killings generated tension in Jos-Bukuru metropolis.

In a statement, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Makut Macham, said the 24-hour curfew came into force from 4pm today.

Lalong had imposed a curfew on the area when some travelers were killed two weeks ago. He later relaxed the curfew.
