Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje expressed shock over the death of the former Military Administrator of Kano, Col Dominic Obukadata Oneya, who passed away today, Thursday.
Ganduje’s press secretary, Abba Anwar, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen men in kano.
“When he was the Military Administrator of our dear state, Kano, Col Dominic Oneya brought development to the state. He did his best in moving the state forward,” he said.
“He was a focused leader, who knew what our people needed for the development of the state then.
As the Commissioner of Works, Housing and Transport under him, I knew how patriotic he was. We really lost a patriotic citizen,” governor Ganduje said.
Governor Ganduje requested the family of the late Military Administrator, to always look up to the good attitudes of their father. Who was committed to national development and a patriotic leader.
“Kano is still reaping from the solid foundation of the late Military Administrator. He set good things for the state, which were copied later by other administrations,” he said.
He wished that the family will have fortitude to bear the loss.
