_Press Release
Gentlemen of the Press
Today, we are the members of APC pressure group known as Taraba APC Voice with motto ‘Taraba 1st’.

We are active members of the APC family in Taraba state coming together from different backgrounds of life in the interest of our great Party, the APC.

The idea behind this formation arose from the  need to put our house in order following our sad and unfortunate defeat in the 2019 general elections.

Recall that at the heart of preparation towards 2019 general elections, APC went into the election as a divided house, and at the end we lost key positions to the PDP.
Many of our 2019 aspirants left for other parties and some members also defected.

We deem it appropriate to commence the process of unifying the party faithfuls for greater strength in the state. Thus, the reason we decided on the formation of this group.

Firstly, we want start the process of unifying all those that aspired in the 2019 general elections. And secondly, those that felt shortchanged and left to other parties should be encouraged to return home. In doing so, we want identify with people of proven integrity in the leadership and fellowship.

OUR AIMS ANS OBJECTIVES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. To assemble people of proven integrity void of questionable characters.

2. To foster real unity among APC members at the state, local government, and Ward levels.

3. To have a national working committee from Taraba state.

4. To reconcile aggrieved APC members at all levels.

5. To meet once in two months to brainstorm on national, state, and local issues.

6. To have constructive criticism in both print and electronic media.

7. To have a force that moves as a team to achieve our common goals.

8. To discourage political violence and thuggery in the state.

9. To inculcate members on knowledge of healthy living through seminars, workshops in liaison with elected or appointed members.

10. To advice the leadership where necessary.

We are exploring ways and means of assisting the party leadership in the state towards mobilizing APC members  and bringing back those that left the party.

As you can see, we are people of proven integrity and right standing in the society, and this task of bringing APC family to unity is motivated by our desire to see the party succeed, and we are not being bankrolled by anyone.

We are also ready to beam our searchlight for a candidate that is sellable to the good people of Taraba state come 2023 general elections.

We want this Voice to be heard in many places. Leading this Group is Ya’u Samaila Mayos and accompanied by many founding members of the Voice.

Thank you.
